Triumph has just unveiled its latest game-changer in the world of sport-touring motorcycles: the Tiger Sport 800.
What caught my attention about this new model is the combination of power, technology, and rider-focused design. This bike is perfect for daily commutes and long road trips. It is built for thrill-seekers who want the best performance and practicality.
Performance that Packs a Punch
At the heart of the Tiger Sport 800 is an all-new 800cc triple engine, delivering 115 PS of peak power at 10,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 84 Nm at 8,500 rpm. This powerful configuration ensures that riders enjoy a responsive and exhilarating experience, with 90% of the torque accessible through the mid-range, making acceleration smooth and quick. Accompanied by Triumph’s iconic deep, resonant exhaust note, the Tiger Sport 800 promises a dynamic ride.

Built for Adventure
This motorcycle is designed to inspire confidence with its lightweight (214 kg), adjustable Showa suspension, and ergonomics optimized for rider comfort.
The seating position is ridiculously comfortable. The seat cushion felt padded and well insulated, and the position was more of a ‘sit up and beg’ one. We have also integrated pillion grab handles. These features combined make the Tiger Sport 800 ideal for longer journeys, especially those carrying pillions.
Suspension
Regarding suspension, Triumph Motorcycles built the 800 Sport with adjustable Showa 41mm front forks and a Showa mono-shock. This helps increase stability and control even on challenging terrains. However, I would be clear that this bike is best suited to the twisties rather than off-road.
In addition to the suspension, Triumph installed Michelin Road 5 sports touring tyres and a responsive braking system. These provide excellent grip and reliable stopping power in any condition.
Design of the bike
Now, let’s talk about the machine’s actual design. The bike was made with more aerodynamic bodywork. One example is that it’s been paired with integrated wind deflectors and an easily adjustable windscreen. This minimizes wind resistance and increases rider comfort on high-speed trips.
