Hey Sprocketeers, welcome back to the blog, my name is Saffy Sprocket, and today we’ll be taking a quick look at the new Insta360 X3, especially the Insta 360 x3 Motorcycle Kit. which I’ve been incredibly excited to buy!
The Insta 360 x3 Motorcycle Kit
Before my European trip, I ordered the Insta360 X3, especially the motorcycle edition. I ordered it a good few weeks ahead of my trip, and annoyingly, the day before my trip, it hadn’t arrived.
Instead, I grabbed a second-hand X2 the day before my trip and used that instead. So rather than buying the X3, I ended up with both the X3 and the X2 and a rather painful hole in my purse. When I returned from my trip, I decided to flog the X2 for a similar price and keep hold of the Insta 360 x3 Motorcycle Kit.
However, HOWEVER. That all changes. TODAY. Because we will unbox this bad boy, I can stop feeling guilty about unnecessary purchases and cross them off my to-do list.
What is the Insta 360 x3?
In case you don’t know, the new Insta360 X3 is a 360-degree action camera that, if anything like the X2, is an easily operated device with user-friendly software that enables you to create and edit some pretty bad-ass footage of you riding your bike. Because Sprocketeers, why settle for less when you can unnecessarily add more?
Now I will be doing a full review of the Insta 360 x3 Motorcycle Kit when I finally find the time to test it out, but today, I’m so incredibly excited to open this up, and I couldn’t contain that excitement. I’ll be honest; I forgot I owned this; it’s been sitting in a drawer for the last six months. But I’ve just been so busy at work that it completely slipped my mind.
But it’s OK; we’re here; let’s open it up and look.
So straight off the bat, we have the SD card weirdly taped to the front of the box. It’s not a brand I’ve ever heard of. I will presume it’s somewhat trustworthy if shipped with the X3, but my gut instinct doesn’t like it.
Okay, let’s move on to the accessories. So, I ordered the motorcycle mount kit but added a U-bolt motorcycle kit which doesn’t ordinarily come with the standard kit. The only thing I didn’t order what the helmet mount because I do not trust sticky mounts.
Let’s go ahead and open this up. So first off, the Selfie Stick. Initially, I didn’t know that the bike kit came with a selfie stick, so I ordered an additional one from Amazon. Then when I purchased the X2, I was also given a third one. So, at one point, I did have 3 of them. I ended up gifting one to someone locally, and I kept the second as a backup. I like the sticks that Insta make; they’re some of the most excellent selfie sticks I’ve ever used.
And there we have it, guys; that’s the unboxing blog of the Insta 360 x3 Motorcycle Kit. I’m about six months too late. But it is what it is.
Now I will fit this into Rocket and make a test ride video, which I will post later. Now if you want to see more excellent bike content, don’t forget to subscribe. In the meantime, my name is Saffy Sprocket; ride safe and stay crazy, and I’ll see you all next week!
