At EICMA 2025 in Milan, Triumph surprised everyone with something completely new: the TXP-12 and TXP-16, the brand’s first electric off-road bikes for young riders. Created in partnership with OSET, these pint-sized machines show Triumph’s commitment to helping the next generation learn the ropes of riding. They’re light, simple, and built for fun, not for chasing speed, but for building balance, confidence, and control from the very first twist of the throttle.

Triumph’s entry into the kids’ electric segment makes perfect sense. OSET brings years of off-road electric expertise, while Triumph adds its design polish, engineering credibility, and global support network. Together, they’ve created a lineup that doesn’t just give kids something to ride, it gives them a pathway into the lifelong joy of motorcycling.

Design & Features
Both TXP models feature a convenient 2-in-1 setup that allows kids to ride them in either X-Plore mode, where they sit down, or Trials mode, where they stand up. It’s a simple idea, but it works, helping young riders get a feel for balance, throttle control, and body movement without overcomplicating things.
Styling is deliberately simple yet unmistakably Triumph, bold Performance Yellow and Graphite Black colourways, rugged plastics, grippy tyres, and a minimalist frame. Adjustable power levels and seat heights make the bikes flexible as kids grow, while parental PIN locks and magnetic safety lanyards ensure peace of mind.
Charging is as simple as plugging into a household socket, with a few hours’ recharge time delivering hours of riding fun. With no heat, noise, or oil changes, the TXP series delivers pure riding joy without the hassle.

Why It’s Clever
Triumph isn’t chasing a fad here; they’re planting seeds. Instead of starting with high-end electric superbikes, they’re beginning where every rider begins: with that first wobbly start and a huge grin. Partnering with OSET provides them with the proper foundation, and placing the Triumph name on it gives kids (and their parents) a sense of trust. The bikes are a smart, down-to-earth move that could shape how future generation discovers motorcycling for years to come.
Whether this partnership clicks or not will depend on what happens outside the showroom, out in the mud, the grass, and the gravel. That’s where these bikes will prove what they’re really made of. But if they ride as well as they look, the TXP range could give many kids their very first authentic taste of motorcycling.
