If you blink, you’ll miss it, because there are only a hundred of these on the planet. Gold rims, red seat, blue shocks, this is Royal Enfield gone rogue, and I’m here for it.
This isn’t just another paint job or limited-run cash grab; this is the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 ICON Edition, a limited-run partnership between Royal Enfield and ICON Motosports. With just 100 units existing worldwide, no second chance and no dealer extras. Only six machines are being sent to the UK, and 26 are being sent to Europe. The remaining machines are distributed to India, the Americas, and the Asia-Pacific regions. So, if you’re seeing this and haven’t already received a call from your local Royal Enfield dealer, chances are… you’re too late.

A collaboration with real roots
This limited edition isn’t just a random collaboration; it’s directly inspired by ICON’s wild “Always Something” custom build. This bike first turned heads at EICMA 2024, then appeared at Motoverse shortly after. It was a machine built to show off ICON’s industrial attitude and West Coast edge. And the public’s response was incredibly positive, so much so that Royal Enfield decided to proceed with a limited production run.
The ICON Edition channels the same creative DNA as the original machine. We’re talking retro muscle fused with street aggression but refined through Royal Enfield’s production lens. The colour scheme is pure ICON: deep metallic paint, satin finishes, and touches of red and gold that catch your eye just right. Then there are the details: gold rims, blue springs, bar-end mirrors, and a bold red seat, completing the look.
Everything about this machine feels deliberate. The mix of textures and tones, including matte, gloss, and metallic, plays beautifully under the lights. It’s the kind of bike that looks hand-built, but with the security and functionality you get from a leading manufacturer.

Exclusivity done right
Royal Enfield didn’t just slap on a badge and call it a day. Every ICON Edition owner also gets a one-off Royal Enfield ICON riding jacket, built to match the bike. This isn’t a rebadged piece of merch either; it’s the ICON 100 Slabtown Intercept jacket, redesigned specifically for this collaboration, and made to order. It’s exclusive to these 100 owners, and it cannot be purchased separately.
And how did those lucky few actually get one? Not by pre-ordering. Royal Enfield held an online entry draw, a global lottery for enthusiasts. The 6 UK winners were selected randomly, and Deliveries to UK customers have already begun, with handovers completed at selected dealerships in Hinckley. It’s a refreshing approach: fan-first distribution that builds loyalty, not hype.

Mechanically familiar, and that’s the point.
Now, beneath all the exclusivity, this bike remains true to the Shotgun 650 platform, which means the fundamentals are rock-solid. The 648 cc air-oil-cooled parallel-twin engine powers it, delivering approximately 47 bhp and 52 Nm of torque. It boasts the same CP-2-rivalling heart that has proven itself across the Interceptor, Continental GT, Super Meteor, and the standard Shotgun. The torque curve is broad, the fueling is smooth, and it has that classic Royal Enfield character: a lazy burble at low revs and a satisfying punch at the top.
The chassis is a tubular steel frame developed in collaboration with Harris Performance. It’s designed for a mix of stability and low-speed agility. Up front, we have Showa big-piston forks. Twin shock absorbers at the rear deliver the perfect balance between plush comfort and precision. Braking is provided by 320 mm front and 300 mm rear discs, featuring ByBre callipers and dual-channel ABS.
The wheel sizes remain 18 inches at the front and 17 inches at the rear, providing the bike with a planted stance while remaining nimble in corners. The wheelbase measures 1,465 mm, and the seat height is 795 mm, ensuring accessibility for riders of all sizes. Add in the neutral handlebar position and mid-set pegs, and it’s a bike you could happily ride all day, or, let’s be honest, with a bike this beautiful, all month.

More than a style statement
It’s easy to look at a limited edition and think it’s all gloss, but the Shotgun 650 ICON backs it up with the same sorted fundamentals as the base model. The ergonomics, geometry, and ride quality are identical to those of the production bike, which means it’s as usable as it is collectable.
What makes this edition work is that, on the one hand, it embodies Royal Enfield’s mantra: “Inspired by custom, built for the world.” And then, on the other hand, we have ICON cues to give it attitude, that pop of colour, that edge of rebellion. However, at the end of the day, it’s still a bike you can commute on, tour on, or ride to a show without worrying about scratching some ultra-fragile paint job. Think of it as the sweet spot between artistry and approachability. It’s not meant to live in a garage but to make other riders stare at the traffic lights.

A glimpse into Royal Enfield’s future as a bike manufacturer
This machine is far more than just a simple collector’s item. It’s a symbol of Royal Enfield’s new marketing direction.
The brand’s leadership has already hinted that more limited and special-edition collaborations are coming. This is clearly driven by public demand, especially amongst the custom scene. Bikers want factory bikes with a unique factory personality. If this is the benchmark, tasteful, authentic, and properly executed, then that’s a future worth being excited about.
What we have here is a rare blend of craft and credibility. The Shotgun 650 ICON Edition celebrates individuality without forgetting function. It’s still the same friendly, flexible motorcycle underneath, but wrapped in one of the most distinctive limited-edition packages Royal Enfield has ever produced. It’s a bike that looks like a custom but rides daily, complete with a story connecting riders across continents. And that’s pretty special.
So, over to you, Sprocketeers. Would you take one of the 100 if you could? Do you think Royal Enfield should collaborate more like this? And which brand would you love to see them partner with next?
