This was my first ever track day. Nerves were an issue at the start of the day but between getting more sessions under my belt, having the MT’s suspension and tyre pressures tuned in for the track and having some great advice from the California Superbike School, the fun factor soon overtook the nerves.
Huge thank you to R&G for organising the day and giving me that extra piece of mind that if the worst happened the bike has the top level of protection available, check out what they have for your bike. No limits track days, these guys know how to look after you.
If you’re a seasoned track pro or a first timer you’ll be well looked after. If you’re a newbie to the track scene we highly recommend you take advantage of their on-track tuition. Scorpion exhausts for bringing the noise….. but not too much of it. the track limit was 105db and the Serket taper with a decent came in at 102db so no baffle was needed.
A final big thank you to Metzeler, I’ve had the M7rr’s on for a while now and I’ve been thoroughly impressed. They’ve given me so many fun-filled miles (considerably more than other high-end tyres I’ve tried) so they were already a firm favourite of mine. On the track, they were faultless which only cements them as my firm favourite
